Going-grey-is-financially-rewarding-and-makes-ecosense!

Apparently 8% of men do not know the real haircolour of their wifes…  approximately 70% of women and up to 30% of men in Australia dye their hair regularly. Consider the amount of chemicals going down the drain every day in large parts of the world! And not to mention the potential health risks associated with chemicals in hairdyes like amonia and peroxide. BUT there is a new move to embrace ones natural appearance spearheaded by well known and beautiful looking Hellen Mirren and model Kristen McMenamy who decided to stop dying her hair at 40 (she is born in 1967) and is still in professional demand despite her decision to go against the tide. She recently modelled in a campaign by ID magazine with sub-title: conforming is boring.

Why not save money and time, do something good for the planet at the same time? It’s so easy, just dare to go grey!

For more information and ideas check out two American resources, unfortunately I am not aware of any Australian versions yet. Please let me know if you are!

An American website devoted to going grey and being beautiful: www.goinggraylookinggreat.com

A book including going grey but going much further with other lifestyle tips: The Frugal Duchess: How to Live Well and Save Money. Check it out!
